Conditions of Sale
Each Morley Auctioneers & Valuers auction is conducted under the terms announced with that sale. By registering to bid, in person or online, you accept those terms together with the conditions below.
Buyer’s premium
A buyer’s premium of 24% inclusive of VAT is added to the hammer price of every lot. Online bidding platforms may charge an additional internet bidding surcharge — please check with your chosen platform before bidding.
Bidding & condition
All lots are sold as described and as-is; bidders are responsible for satisfying themselves as to condition before bidding. Condition reports may be requested by email prior to the start of the auction. The auctioneer’s decision on any dispute is final.
Payment
Payment is due promptly after the auction. We accept cash, debit and credit card, and bank transfer. Lots will not be released until payment has been received in full.
Collection
Purchased lots must be collected from our saleroom at Unit 1, Alexandra Mills, Baker Street, Morley, Leeds, LS27 0QH, on Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, 10am–4pm following the sale. Street parking is available. Please contact us to arrange collection outside these hours.
Shipping
In-house shipping is available for select lots; a quote will be provided after your invoice is raised. For items we cannot ship in-house, buyers may arrange their own courier. Morley Auctioneers & Valuers accepts no liability for loss or damage once items leave our premises.
Seller’s fees
Sellers are charged a commission of 21.5% (inclusive of VAT) plus a £3 per lot fee. Payment of sale proceeds is made by bank transfer within 21 working days of the auction.
